Square Mile Connections is an international bespoke search firm founded in 2005, by Mia Drennan, to provide bespoke recruitment and consultancy services to the financial, markets. Prior to establishing the Company in 2005, Mia Drennan has developed a long career within the banking, financial and professional services industry. Her last role was as Head of Global Structured Finance at BNY Mellon, she has also worked within Citibank, Simmons & Simmons LLP and KPMG. Mia also gained an upper second BA (Hons) degree in Financial Services.

Since its inception the Company has established a leading position in supplying talented individuals throughout the Financial Markets. The Company has also been recognised as a leading supplier within Global Transaction Banking which includes, Cash, Custody, Corporate Trust, Trade Finance and Securities Lending and act for all the major providers internationally on assignments in those areas.

Over recent times the Company has developed expertise in placing high calibre risk, regulation and compliance individuals across the banking spectrum. The Company was instrumental in placing talent within Northern Rock post its collapse in 2008 and working with RBS on the asset protection scheme in 2010.

In addition to a strong, blue-chip client base, Square Mile Connections has also developed a solid network of candidates and contacts since its inception. In fact our advertising is limited as many of our introductions to our clients are made from referrals from our network and mean that we can provide a much more targeted list of candidates for each assignment we are appointed on.

In 2011, the Company took its first office within the Square Mile and we finally feel that we are home. The Company continues to develop and has grown the team significantly even during the downturn. We continue to attract quality talent to our own team and are looking forward to developing an international footprint beyond the UK over the coming months.
