Transaction Manager – Dublin

This role is located within our client’s corporate trust services team in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. Corporate Trust Services provides a range of services to the debt capital markets and loan markets. These include acting as cash manager, trustee, account bank, escrow agent, collateral agent and portfolio administrator on mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, collateralized loan and debt obligations, escrow transactions, loans, corporate debt and project financings.

Responsibilities
The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:

•Responsible for daily management of deal negotiations, due diligence and risk mitigation of complex corporate trust transactions including structured, corporate and escrow products with investment banks, finance companies, mortgage companies, corporates, law firms, rating agencies, and credit providers. These transactions will be governed under various legal jurisdictions including U.S., English and Irish Law;
•Responsible for relationship management, including client satisfaction, problem resolution and client retention;
•Typically responsible for the deal negotiations, co-coordinating deal closing and relationship management of moderately complex transactions and/or stable/repetitive customers;
•The candidate will work closely with the International Salesperson to provide detailed expertise for certain sales calls, meetings and presentations as needed;
•The candidate will work and coordinate closely with the international products and services manager and to develop, maintain, and expand relationships in both the structured and corporate sectors with issuers and referral sources throughout the region;
•These include, but are not limited to, corporate chief financial officers, treasurers, and directors of finance; external financial advisors, lawyers, and lead managers; and internal bankers in government, commercial, real estate, and other units throughout the bank;
•Candidate must be experienced and comfortable working and communicating with all levels of corporate, financial and legal professionals.

Candidate is expected to work closely with the incumbent business negotiation consultants to provide premier service to our customers. As part of the team, specific duties will include:
•Assisting International Salesperson with sales calls and presentations, as required;
•Thoroughly understanding deal structures;
•Assessing and analyzing the risk in deal structures;
•Presenting deal structures to risk management and business management;
•Negotiating documents with lawyers/clients/bankers;
•Explaining the Bank’s services and processes to clients, as required;
•Co-coordinating due diligence requirements with compliance, risk and clients;
•Receiving and co-coordinating comments from internal parties and analyzing the appropriateness of such;
•Inputting of transaction details onto system of record;
•Arranging the opening of accounts within Dublin;
•Arranging custody of assets, as required;
•Co-ordinating the closing and signing of transactions;
•Arranging for payments of initial fees from clients.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
•Ideally degree educated;
•Excellent capital markets experience, corporate trust, contracts or business development experience;
•Strong verbal communication skills in formal and informal settings;
•Strong written communication skills;
•Ability to think on one’s feet, both strategically and tactically;
•Ability to, and comfort level with, multi-tasking;
•Candidate must possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and the highest degree of integrity and professional/personal maturity;
•Strong analytical skills,
•a good understanding of risk mitigation,
•Ability to think strategically and approach issues from a business, and not solely a sales, perspective and be comfortable working as a team member;
•Coordinating closely with both the incumbent business development officer and other professionals within the unit;
•The candidate must also possess strong financial and business acumen.
