Square Mile Connections is partnering with a well-established Non-Banking Financial Institution, to attract a talented Business Development & Sales professional specialising in Capital Markets and Structured Finance. This permanent role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in business development and sales (particularly within securitisation, SPVs, and agency services) to join an expanding organisation, and to play a key part in assisting with ongoing Company growth and development.

The successful candidate will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to the strategic growth of structured finance offerings. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Generating revenue by developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts within the Structured Finance and Capital Markets sectors, including ABS, MBS, SPV Management, and aviation transactions.
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets through proactive business development activities.
  • Identifying and building strategic relationships with key target clients and referral partners.
  • Managing client relationships effectively, attending meetings and industry events to foster long-term collaborations.
  • Creating and maintaining a strong pipeline of new business opportunities to support continuous growth.
  • Developing compelling proposals and pitch material tailored to client needs, working closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Assisting in shaping the business development strategy and contributing to the development of sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Preparing and delivering business updates and market insights to senior management.
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced colleagues, sharing best practices in business development.
  • Staying informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging industry developments.
  • Engaging in ad-hoc duties as required to support the team’s objectives.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Business Development and Sales within Structured Finance or Capital Markets, with a focus on securitisation and SPV services.
  • Strong understanding of Structured Finance products such as ABS, MBS, and aviation-related transactions.
  • Existing network of contacts within the Capital Markets industry in the UK, Ireland and/or Luxembourg.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with a proactive approach to business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong IT literacy with the ability to develop persuasive proposals and presentations.
  • Degree level education or equivalent; familiarity with legal and transaction documents advantageous.
  • Experience of working within a Corporate Service Provider environment is beneficial but not essential.
