SMC866 - Financial Accountant (Capital Markets & SPVs)
Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Financial Accountant to join a well-established Non-Banking Financial Institution based in London. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a professional with a solid background in accounting, strong working knowledge of Capital Markets and SPVs, and experience of managing financial reporting for a portfolio of clients. Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing and analysing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Ensuring timely submission of financial reports and statutory filings.
- Managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Supporting the audit process and liaising with external auditors.
- Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls and compliance procedures.
- Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects.
- Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting reconciliation activities.
- Monitoring regulatory changes impacting financial reporting obligations.
Skills & Experience:
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
- Strong understanding of Capital Markets and SPVs.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and statutory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
