Square Mile Connections is currently partnering with a reputable Non-Banking Financial Institution in London to find a dedicated Permanent Loan Asset Management Associate specialising in Commercial Real Estate (CRE). This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic financial environment, providing expert support in loan asset management and debt administration. We are seeking a professional with a solid background in Asset Management, particularly with experience in the Loan Market Association (LMA) framework, to join this growing organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient administration and management of loan portfolios, contributing to sustained client satisfaction and organisational success.
Responsibilities include:

Oversee and administer a portfolio of CRE loans, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan documentation and records, including loan amendments and security documentation.

Managing Cash management (cash flow modelling) & IPD reconciliations

Monitor borrower communications, payment schedules, and covenant compliance to mitigate risk.

Assist in the preparation of regular reporting and financial analysis for senior management and clients.

Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve loan administration issues efficiently.

Support the loan servicing process within the framework of LMA standards, ensuring timely and accurate execution of loan transactions.

Contribute to process improvements within loan administration and asset management functions to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills/Experience:

Circa 3-5 years’ experience in Asset Management within the CRE or loans sector, with a strong understanding of debt administration processes.

Previous deal underwriting experience.

Proficiency with the Loan Market Association (LMA) documentation and standards.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional approach to stakeholder management.

Proactive mindset with problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for compliance and risk mitigation.

Financial qualification or relevant professional experience in loan servicing or debt administration is preferred.
