Loan Servicing Senior Associate/Analyst

Overview:

Excellent opportunity for someone with previous Loan Servicing experience, with solid working knowledge of Loans/Debt and Portfolio Financing products and services to join a growing non-banking financial institution.  The successful candidate will join an expanding team and will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of CRE & complex Portfolio Financing transactions.  This role will entail managing a portfolio of deals/clients, managing relationships with lenders, borrowers, and other third parties (lawyers, auditors, project monitors, asset and property managers etc.), meeting pre-agreed deadlines and ensuring consistently high levels of service to clients at all times.  

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the entire loan onboarding process within allocated portfolio.
  • Ongoing portfolio management of circa 15/20 loans (CRE/Portfolio Financing).
  • Supporting and working with legal counsels from third party law firms and senior management on the closing of new transactions.
  • Independently running the Interest Payment Date (IPD) cycles on allocated loan portfolio.
  • Collecting and analysing borrower deliverables (tenancy schedules, compliance certificates, asset management reports etc.) as applicable.
  • Managing relationships and communication between lenders & borrowers across portfolio.
  • Review and analyse development finance documentation to include; business plans & Project Monitor reports.
  • Preparing payment instructions for processing of remittances from secured bank accounts controlled by the Security Agent.
  • Shadowing and supporting other team members with their loan portfolios as required.

 

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Loan Servicing, managing a portfolio of CRE/complex Portfolio Financing.
  • Ability to confidently meet and present to clients at all levels.
  • Solid analytical and technical skills, able to understand complex loan structures and underlying credit risk.
  • Organised, methodical, and able to deliver on agreed deadlines.
  • Collaborative approach, working closely with the Front Office Team in London and interacting remotely with overseas Operations Team.
  • Flexible, able to adapt quickly and effectively to evolving business requirements;
  • Ability to respond to/resolve clients queries in a timely manner.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office suite (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) - Required.
  • European languages – beneficial but not essential.
